KweGo is not a bank, does not accept deposits, and does not provide traditional banking services.

2. Corporate Incorporation & Presence

KweGo Financial Technology Limited is incorporated and operates through affiliated entities in multiple jurisdictions, including:
• Canada
• United States (State of Delaware)
• United Kingdom
• Ireland
• Nigeria

Operations and services are delivered in accordance with applicable local laws and through licensed and regulated third-party financial institutions where required.

3. Regulatory Status & Registrations
• Canada:
KweGo Financial Technology Limited is registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) as a Money Services Business (MSB).
MSB Registration Number: C100001035.
• Nigeria:
KweGo Financial Technology Limited is registered with the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML) and compliant with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
• United States (Delaware):
KweGo Financial Technology Limited is incorporated in the State of Delaware.
KweGo does not operate as a U.S. bank and does not currently offer regulated money transmission services in the United States except where delivered through appropriately licensed partners, where applicable.
• United Kingdom & European Union:
KweGo is incorporated and operates under a non-bank, non-deposit-taking fintech model, providing services through licensed and regulated banks and payment service providers.

Regulatory obligations vary by jurisdiction, and service availability is subject to local laws, partner approvals, and compliance requirements.

4. Nature of Services

KweGo provides:
• Technology platforms for cross-border payments and remittances
• Foreign exchange (FX) rate access and conversion
• SME and merchant payment facilitation
• Wallet orchestration and payout services via licensed partners

KweGo does not:
• Accept customer deposits as a bank
• Provide credit, lending, or investment services
• Offer financial, legal, or tax advice

5. Use of Licensed Banking & Payment Partners

All payment processing, settlement, safeguarding of funds, card processing, and regulated financial activities are performed by licensed banks and PCI-DSS compliant payment service providers.

KweGo integrates with these partners via secure APIs and does not store or process raw cardholder data.

6. Compliance, AML/CTF & Sanctions

KweGo maintains a comprehensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), sanctions screening, and fraud prevention framework, aligned with applicable regulatory requirements.

Customer due diligence (KYC/KYB), transaction monitoring, enhanced due diligence, and regulatory reporting are conducted as required. Transactions may be delayed, restricted, declined, or reported where legally mandated.

7. Data Protection & Privacy

KweGo processes personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including:
• GDPR / UK GDPR
• NDPR / NDPC (Nigeria)
• PIPEDA (Canada)
